Practice, practice, practice.......

Imagine my surprise and delight when my  husband came home with a lovely gift. He bought me a set of Gansai Tambi paints. Yes I know; he's a keeper:)
Watercolouring is quite new to me. Last year when I was in Liverpool Ros offered me the chance to try them. I fell in love:)
Watercolouring means a lot of practice and it's fun!
I started my card with a background which I stamped with Versamark and  heatembossed it with white embosing powder. I started painting with simple brush strokes  and added a sentiment:

Subtle shades, squares and some stiched dies:

I am entering this card in the current  challenge at the AAA cards challenge. The theme is "watercolour"

Hello!
It's the kind of weekend that I love the most: nothing planned and lots of time to create a few cards.  Today I am sharing one of these cards.
Sometimes you need a quick and easy card because you ran out of time.  Shades of blue for a birthday boy. The sentiment is from MFT  and the balloon is from PTI:

Very CAS and easy to make:

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely Sunday!

Simple style

Hello!
It's a beautiful and sunny Sunday  but it's so darn cold here! We went out for a long walk  (a bit more than 8 kilometres/5 miles) and it's lovely to come home and have a hot cup of coffee:)
I made a card with the Scripty Saying dies and stamps from Lawn Fawn. And added a little heart; although  it's not a Valentine card:)

I love the font of this sentiment:

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Sunday!
Stay warm:)

City Crafter #348

Good morning!
It's time for a new challenge
at the City Crafter.
This week Marina is our host  and she picked the theme:

"S.W.A.L.K"

(source)

Marina asks us to create a project and
use an envelope or letter.

We are having Jenny Martin
as our guest designer
You can see more of her creations on herblog.

I had a few ideas, tried a few
things but wasn't pleased.
You could say I struggled a bit... So I asked Rosfor advice; She knows me well and came up
with a few great ideas.

I made a card using Lawn Fawn stamps  and plaid paper from My Favorite Things:

I could use it for a birthday,
wedding anniversary or even a Valentine card. A clean and simple card; my favorite style:)

If you hop over toour blog you'll find the projects from

Blue happiness

If you have been following me for a while you  know that there are a few things that I LOVE. And one of them is the colour BLUE.
Back in April 2015 we visited our  son Martijn in Liverpool and  I was so lucky to meet my dear friend
Ros
We had a few wonderful days and  Ros and her husband took us on a trip in the country. We enjoyed a terrific lunch in the pub in Bunbury and sitting at the table  myeye caught this gorgeous blue jug.  The moment I saw it I loved it;  but it was not for sale and I  never found it in the shops...
Imagine my delight and surprise when a box  from Ros arrived with that jug! She looked everywhere and found it. Now it's here on my coffee table  and I am on cloud nine:)

Ros thank you so so much;  you really made my day!

Also blue but something different... Remember the creative date   I had a few weeks ago? This card is made with one of the Gelli prints:

Different shades of blue but  I love it:

Thanks for stopping by! Stella
